Latent Ability: workshop material for Bristol
Browsable workshop material prepared for a University of Bristol session on latent-ability-aware evaluation in machine learning.
Latent Ability is a browsable workshop site I prepared for a session at the University of Bristol, together with Professor Ricardo Prudencio. The material was designed to make the session easier to follow through structured notes, activities, answers, and linked notebooks.
What the site includes
- A guided path from unsupervised evaluation to Binary IRT and 2PL.
- A dedicated section connecting Beta4-IRT and CLAIRE to latent-ability-aware evaluation.
- Activity pages and answer pages to support hands-on teaching.
- A cleaner navigation layer than the repository root, making the material easier to use during a live session.
Why it matters
This workshop site is not just a static companion page. It turns research ideas into a teaching artifact that participants can browse during and after the session, which helps bridge theory, implementation, and practical discussion.
